Are you a new user?

Before you start, you need:

  • A valid email, a valid phone number or an international phone plan.
  • A stable internet connection.
  • Digital photographs of yourself and your family members.
  • Scanned copies or photographs of your identity documents (passport, ID card) if available.

There are 7 steps in your application process:

  1. You must be over 18 years old and have Ecuadorian, Nicaraguan or Venezuelan nationality.
  2. You will be asked for personal information such as your date of birth, name, and possible needs.
  3. Upload a clear photo of yourself from your device (phone, tablet, computer). If you don’t have it on your phone, you can take a photo now and upload it.
  4. Upload a photo of your identification document (if you have one).
  5. Upload proof of you presence in Costa Rica prior to 15 September 2024.
  6. Please add all the family members who are with you in Costa Rica and fall into the following categories: spouse/partner, minor children (including stepchildren and adopted children), minor grandchildren, and parents. If other relatives wish to apply, they must submit a separate application
  7. You will be asked to answer a short questionnaire before you can submit your application.
