Cubans, Haitians, and Venezuelans in Colombia

The ‘Safe Mobility’ initiative in Colombia helps refugees and migrants travel safely and lawfully to the United States and other countries.

Who can participate?

This program is currently for Cubans, Haitians, and Venezuelans who were in Colombia on or before June 11, 2023, regardless of whether they entered the country regularly or irregularly, and who, at the time of application, have a regular status or are in the process of regularization in the country.

What happens after submitting the evaluation application for the Safe Mobility initiative?

Please bear in mind that not everyone who applies to the Safe Mobility initiative will travel to the United States. Completing the online form on the Safe Mobility portal is the initial step, and it does not guarantee successful completion of the application process.

Due to the significant interest in the Safe Mobility initiative, only those applicants whose submissions are reviewed and fulfill the program’s criteria will be contacted to schedule an interview in Colombia.

Please also consider that during the application review process, it is not possible to provide individualized information about the progress of each case. If your application is reviewed, you will be contacted. No further action is needed on your part.

All final decisions regarding entry into the United States are made by the United States Government.
